MrsTubs Giving Refund Policy
- Provider:
- Black Asterisk LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, doing business as MrsTubs
- Effective date:
- In effect.
- Version:
- giving-refund-policy v1.0
Thank you for giving. We want you to feel good about your gift, so here is exactly how refunds work.
Where your money goes
When you give through MrsTubs.com, your money goes straight to the organization you chose. It lands in that organization's own bank account through our payment processor, Stripe. MrsTubs.com never holds your money. We help send the gift and email you a receipt.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If something went wrong or you changed your mind, you can ask for a refund of your donation.
- Right now we refund gifts in full. We are not yet able to refund part of a gift automatically. If you need a partial refund, email us and we will review your request and tell you what we can do.
- A refund returns your donation to the same card you used.
How to ask for a refund
Email us at [email protected]. Tell us:
- the name on the gift,
- the organization you gave to,
- the date and amount, and
- your receipt number (it is at the top and bottom of your receipt email).
You can also reply directly to your receipt email. If you would rather ask the organization you gave to, that works too — they can start the refund on their side.
How long it takes
Once a refund is started, Stripe usually takes 5 to 10 business days to put the money back on your card. The exact timing depends on your bank.
Will I get anything confirming the refund?
When your refund is processed, we email a confirmation to the address on your receipt, with the amount and a reminder that it can take 5 to 10 business days to show up. Keep it with your records.
A note about card processing fees
Every card payment has a small processing fee. When a gift is refunded, MrsTubs.com returns its own share so the organization is not out of pocket for our part. The card processor's own fee is not returned on a refund. This does not come out of your refund — you get your full donation back — but we want to be upfront that a refunded gift is not entirely free for the organization.
If you see a charge you do not recognize
If you think a charge is a mistake or fraud, the fastest fix is usually to email us first at [email protected] — we can often resolve it same-day. You always have the right to dispute a charge with your card issuer (a "chargeback"). If you do, your card company handles it directly with the organization's payment account.
