FAQ
Donor questions
The eight that come up before, during, and after a gift — safety first, money second, proof third, control last.
Part of MrsTubs help , alongside organizer questions .
Is my card safe?
Yes. Your card details go straight to Stripe — the same payment processor used by companies far bigger than us — and never touch MrsTubs' servers. We don't see, store, or have access to your full card number at any point.
Where does my money go?
Straight to the organization you're giving to. Every gift settles directly into that organization's own Stripe account — MrsTubs never holds your money, not even for a moment. If you added an optional tip, that portion goes to MrsTubs; everything else goes to the organization.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes, by email, right after your gift goes through. It shows the amount, the date, and the organization you gave to. If you received something of value in exchange for your gift (a ticket, a meal, an item), the receipt also shows the fair-market value of that item separately from your gift amount.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
That depends on the organization you gave to, not on MrsTubs — we're the platform, not a tax authority. Your receipt shows what you gave, when, and to whom; the organization determines and states its own tax status. If you need to know whether a specific gift is deductible, ask the organization directly or check with a tax professional.
Can I give monthly?
Yes, on campaigns where the organization has turned on recurring giving. You'll see a frequency option (one-time, monthly, and sometimes quarterly or annual) right on the giving form when it's available.
Can I give anonymously?
Yes. There's an anonymous option at checkout. Your name won't appear on any public donor list or supporter wall, though the organization can still see who gave for its own records and to send your receipt.
Can I cancel a monthly gift?
Yes, any time, with no fee and no waiting period.
Who do I contact if something's wrong?
[email protected] for anything platform-related — a receipt didn't arrive, a charge looks wrong, a page won't load. For a question about how an organization is using funds, contact that organization directly; MrsTubs doesn't manage or oversee how organizations spend what they raise.
