Questions

Ask before you give. That is the whole point of this page.

Most of these come up before someone's first donation. If yours is not here, .

What fee comes out of my gift?

$0 to MrsTubs. Stripe's card fee is the only deduction, and you can choose to cover it so the organization receives the full amount you intended.

The tip is separate, optional, and chosen by you at checkout — it is how MrsTubs is paid. Set it to zero and nothing about your gift changes.

For donors

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Deductibility depends on the organization's own status, not on MrsTubs. The fundraiser page states what that organization has attested. We never appraise it and we never make the claim on their behalf.

Do I need an account?

No. You never need one to give, and nothing on this site will ask you to make one before taking your donation.

Will I get a receipt?

Emailed immediately. It names the organization, the amount, the tip separately, and anything of value you received in return.

Who can see my name?

You choose at checkout. Giving anonymously keeps your name off the fundraiser's public supporter list — the organization still receives your details, because they need them to issue your receipt and to keep their own records.

Can I get a refund?

Read , then write to us. If money moved and it should not have, say so and we will read it first.

Where does my card number go?

Not to us. The card fields on the payment step are served directly by Stripe and your details go from your browser to Stripe without passing through our servers. We never see, store, or have any way to retrieve your card number.

For organizers

How do I start a fundraiser?

, connect a Stripe account, and publish a campaign. Stopping halfway is safe — nothing is live until you publish it.

When do I get the money?

Donations land in your own Stripe account as they are made, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its own schedule. We never hold the funds, so there is no MrsTubs payout to wait on.

What does Stripe ask for?

Enough to verify who is receiving the money: your organization's details, a responsible person, and a bank account. We show you the whole list before you start.

What am I agreeing to?

. Read it before you publish, not after.
